Goal Setting
Small Steps Toward the Life You Want
Our Goal Setting program helps participants think about what they would like to work towards in their recovery journey.
For some people this might be improving daily routines. For others it might be reconnecting with friends, building confidence, learning new skills, or preparing for work or study.
There is no pressure and no expectations. The focus is simply on identifying small, achievable steps that feel right for everyone.
What the Program Offers
In a relaxed and supportive environment, participants are supported to:
Think about what is important to them
Identify small personal goals
Break larger goals into manageable steps
Build confidence through progress over time
Celebrate achievements along the way
Goals can be as simple as getting out more, improving daily routines, or trying something new.
Working at Your Own Pace
Everyone’s recovery journey is different.
Some people may already have clear goals, while others may simply be exploring what the next step might look like. Both are completely okay.
Participants are supported by Sunflower House staff and peer support workers, who can help guide conversations and offer encouragement along the way.
Building Confidence Through Small Wins
Progress often happens through small steps rather than big changes.
By setting realistic goals and recognising progress, participants can gradually build confidence, independence and a stronger sense of purpose.
A Supportive Environment
Goal Setting sessions take place in a friendly, welcoming space where participants can talk openly, share ideas, and support each other.
There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with, and everyone is encouraged to move forward at a pace that suits them.
Looking Forward
Recovery is about moving forward in ways that feel meaningful to you.
Our Goal Setting program is simply a way to help participants take those next steps, one small step at a time.
